My background in theatre photography has been surprisingly relevant to concert photography: in both situations, I’m finding the shot while having no clue what is going to happen next, while contending with constantly-shifting lighting so flexibility is key. Living in Nashville means that there’s never a shortage of shows around town; it’s been more than once that I’ve had multiple bands I want to shoot playing at separate shows on the same night. (which is a great problem to have)
