Black Venus has a raw, dark bluesy sound that grabbed me from the very beginning. Their live energy managed to eclipse what they already had on their studio albums and makes them a great show to see live (and, more importantly for me, a great band to shoot). I also started my “listen to their music as I edit their photos” tradition for bands with my first set of photos for them (at The Back Corner); it’s great to relive the songs and remember what was playing during each shot.
